First of its Kind | Walkable Community | Community of Diverse Parts | Watch it Take Shape | Sharbell Development
FIRST OF ITS KIND
The award winning Washington Town Center is New Jersey's first Neo Traditional Town Center and the nation's first such community designed by the municipality. Twelve years in the making, the efforts of the Washington Township Committee and Planning Board are now taking shape. The 400 acre site is located along US Route 33 from the Hamilton Township border to US Route 130.
WALKABLE COMMUNITY
Walkability is the buzz word for this new community. Old style front porches will encourage sidewalk conversations. Public parks and gardens as well as village squares and even retail shopping will be developed within the 400 acre Center and this will be easily accessible to residents. For those wishing to explore - bike paths will connect the Center to Township neighborhoods, community parks, nature trails and the county Open Space System.
