The Community Services Office serves a multitude of functions. The two primary functions are administration of the Senior Center and administration of the Mount Laurel Affordable Housing Program.
MOUNT LAUREL AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM
Washington Township participates in the Mount Laurel Affordable Housing Program with 184 units located within the Foxmoor community.* The housing is a combination of condominiums and town-homes and are divided between low-income and moderate-income housing. The price range for low-income condominiums is determined by bedroom size and range from $35,000-$80,000. The price range for two-bedroom, moderate-income condominiums and town homes is $80,000-$110,000. The price for a three-bedroom town home could run over $125,000. To purchase a unit, the applicant must be income qualified, based on guidelines issued by the Council on Affordable Housing. The units are deed restricted and must follow strict guidelines for sale and resale. *The Township also receives credit for the 35 rental units located in Project Freedom.
