Crime Prevention
- C.A.T. or Combat Auto Theft. Registration program that would permit police officers to stop your vehicle after 11:00 p.m. without a reason to ensure that your vehicle is not stolen. This is not recommended if your vehicle is driven during late night or early morning hours.
- Project Reassurance. Program designed for the elderly or person living alone in which a daily call must be placed by that person to the police department by 10:00a.m. or department checks on welfare of person by telephone and then in person if no answer is received.
- Vacation Checks. When going on vacation, a card is filled out with pertinent information and patrols randomly check residence for criminal activity.
Persons can contact police headquarters for information on any of the programs available.
