Crime Prevention

  1. C.A.T. or Combat Auto Theft. Registration program that would permit police officers to stop your vehicle after 11:00 p.m. without a reason to ensure that your vehicle is not stolen. This is not recommended if your vehicle is driven during late night or early morning hours.
  2. Project Reassurance. Program designed for the elderly or person living alone in which a daily call must be placed by that person to the police department by 10:00a.m. or department checks on welfare of person by telephone and then in person if no answer is received.
  3. Vacation Checks. When going on vacation, a card is filled out with pertinent information and patrols randomly check residence for criminal activity.

Persons can contact police headquarters for information on any of the programs available.
